Workshops
The purpose of the workshop is to bring together researchers,
engineers, and practitioners interested in new Web technologies and
applications and to discuss the latest advanced technologies with
focus on next-generation information systems. The World Wide Web
offers a platform for an increasing number of new Web technology and
applications that have a major impact on e-business as well as
everyday life.
The WWW has become the standard computing platform for the development
of next-generation information systems. A new wave of Web-based
applications such as corporate portals, supply chain automation, and
online marketplaces, is driving the need for a more open, flexible,
adaptable, and distributed infrastructure. In addition, Web
applications are required to be ubiquitous, highly scalable, reliable,
accessible from different devices, usable, and personalized with
respect to various user requirements. In this setting, new Web
technologies and applications are becoming increasingly complex
thereby creating a need for appropriate theoretical foundations,
development methodologies, and supporting technology. The 'New Web
Technologies and Applications" workshop at CIT 2009 aims at promoting
research directions on novel applications of the WWW, by providing a
forum where academic and industry researchers can share and
disseminate relevant and innovative ideas.
The wide deployment of networks and various emerging threats including
virus, DoS and bots have created a very strong demand for security
service. This trend has provided many new business opportunities and
challenges to network device vendors, security software manufacturer,
Internet service provider and solution integrators. Living in a
security network world changes and enhances people's life in many
ways, such as communications, information sharing and learning,
e-commerce and wireless application services. At the same time, it
requires how to provide customers and users with reliable and secure
applications and efficient and user-friendly services. To meet this
increasing demand, people are fighting with all kinds of network
attacks and find out the way to detect and defeat them. This area has
become a very hot research subject in both business and research
communities. The major theme of this workshop is to study new attack
methods, detection models, emerging technology and engineering methods
to build the next generation of network security service systems
supporting large scale network users anywhere at anytime.
Wireless & Mobile technologies represent a rapidly emerging area of
development and importance for providing ubiquitous access to the
network for all end users. The Wireless & Mobile computing domain
emerges from the integration among personal computing, networks,
communication technologies, cellular technology and the Internet
Technology. Many modern applications are emerging in the area of
mobile ad hoc networks and sensor networks. The First International
workshop on Wireless, Mobile Network & Applications (WiMoA 2009) is
dedicated to address the challenges in the areas of wireless, mobile
network issues & its applications. The workshop looks for significant
contributions to the Wireless & Mobile computing in theoretical and
practical aspects. The Wireless & Mobile computing domain emerges from
the integration among personal computing, networks, communication
technologies, cellular technology and the Internet Technology. The
modern applications are emerging in the area of mobile ad hoc networks
and sensor networks. This workshop is intended to cover contributions
in both the design and analysis in the context of mobile, wireless,
ad-hoc, and sensor networks & its applications. The goal of this
workshop is to bring together researchers and practitioners from
academia and industry to focus on advanced wireless & Mobile computing
concepts and establishing new collaborations in these areas.
In order to match the rapid development on computer science and communication technology, the International Symposium on Advanced Communication and Computing Technology wants to provide an excellent international forum for sharing knowledge and results in theory, methodology and applications of Computer Networks & Advanced Computing & Data Communications. The Symposium looks for significant contributions to the Computer Networks & Communication & Computing Technologies for advanced networks in theoretical and practical aspects. Original papers are invited on computer Networks, network protocols and advanced networks, Data communication Technologies, and network security. The aim of the symposium is to provide a platform to the researchers and practitioners from both academia as well as industry to meet and share cutting-edge development in the field.
