Guardian is a dynamic maintenance tool for service-oriented infrastructure that is designed to alleviate the problem as follow.

• Handle the increasing dependencies among service components and instances. In this way, the maintenances on the web or grid services can be completed correctly and efficiently.
• Shield the heterogeneous nature brought by hosting environment.
• Resolve the problem from transient failures to continue the maintenances on highly distributed and massive resources.

By introducing role oriented asynchronous maintenance and dynamical dependency detection, guardian system can efficiently resolve the challenges from shielding heterogeneity, processing complexity of dependencies, and improving high availability of highly shared infrastructures. Guardian is an open software follows Apache License 2.0.
