报告摘要:
The concept of software components is the basis of software systems. Programs integrate software components to use their functionality. However, in a functionality-oriented design, the integration method of software components allows them to perform more than what they are expected to do. This problem of unexpected behaviors manifests itself in many different operating environments, such as desktop operating systems and the web platform. In this talk, I discuss our view on this problem and our recent work that develops new isolation-based methods to accurately confine behaviors of software components, as well as new applications and understandings of such methods.
